Bilingual Support Assistant
The Food Shelf is seeking a dependable and community-focused Bilingual Support Assistant to support client services across our distribution sites and mobile food unit. This position serves as a floater and plays a key role in welcoming clients, assisting with intake, supporting food distribution, and ensuring language access for individuals and families.
The Bilingual Support Assistant provides direct client support in English and Spanish, assists with mobile and site-based operations, and helps develop and maintain bilingual client-facing materials such as forms, signage, and informational handouts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values teamwork, and is committed to ensuring equitable access to food and resources.
Training is provided. Flexible availability and willingness to work at multiple locations are required.

Serving as a director comes with great privilege as well as responsibility to McLeod Food Shelf and the community it serves.
Directors serve two-year terms (limit 3 consecutive terms), discuss business items during six regularly scheduled yearly meetings, participate in monthly operational committee meetings, and have an opportunity to work as a direct service volunteer, supporting daily grocery distributions.
