Our Board of Directors plays a vital leadership role in guiding the mission and sustainability of our food shelf. Comprised of dedicated community members, the board provides strategic oversight, ensures sound financial stewardship, and helps shape the long-term vision of the organization. They serve as ambassadors for our work, advocate for those we serve, and support staff in advancing programs that address food insecurity. Through their governance and commitment, the board helps ensure we remain responsive, accountable, and effective in meeting the needs of our community.

The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing operations, while maintaining a strong visable commitment to the mission. This involves establishing strategic direction, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements, and keeping McLeod Food Shelf financially healthy.
The Board of Directors holds its regular business meeting the 3rd Thursday of each month, beginning in January. Committee meetings begin at 4:00 PM, with the regular meeting starting at 4:30 PM and take place in the confernece room at MFS, Glencoe Site. The Annual Meeting, held the 3rd Thursday each May, is open to the public.
Once elected, a director serves a 2-year term, not to exceed three consecutive terms (6 years total). Provisions are made if director is elected mid-term to fill vacancy position.
